March 13, 20266 April 2026
ZIMBABWE DIASPORA ACHIEVERS AWARD CEREMONY
As you may be aware, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Office of Presidential Affairs and Devolution in Midlands Province, will be hosting the Third Zimbabwe Annual Diaspora Conference from 9 to 11 April 2026 at the Regency Fairmile Hotel in Gweru. This year’s Conference will be held under the theme “Diaspora Powering Progress: Driving Partnerships, Innovation and Sustainable Growth Towards Vision 2030.”
A key highlight of the Conference will be the Zimbabwe Diaspora Achievers Award Ceremony, which aims to recognize and celebrate outstanding Zimbabweans in the Diaspora who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and made remarkable contributions toward the country’s development.
In this regard, all Missions are kindly requested to actively mobilize members of the Diaspora to physically participate in this important event. Additionally, Missions are invited to submit nominations of distinguished Diasporans and Diaspora organizations that have exhibited exemplary patriotism and commitment to Zimbabwe’s national development agenda. Each nomination should be accompanied by a brief profile to support consideration for an award.
The prestigious awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Business Excellence Award – Honouring Diaspora entrepreneurs who have made substantial and successful investment and trade initiatives in Zimbabwe.
- Social Support Award – Recognizing members of the Zimbabwean Diaspora who have made a significant impact on local communities through social support initiatives.
- National Pride Award – Acknowledging Zimbabweans who have remained steadfast in their commitment to the country’s development and in upholding its positive image abroad.
To facilitate seamless participation, Missions are kindly encouraged to register and to share the registration link provided below with members of the Diaspora.
Your cooperation and support in making this Conference a success is greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
S. Mateta (Mrs.)
